Soft Volumes
by Meritxell Claverol
A dialogue between surface and form, where stripes become structure and volume is light.
Developed during a residency at Etesian Gallery in Menorca, this body of work was presented in the group exhibition Soft Volumes, alongside Celia Gullett, Hannah Carrick, Oikos Studio, and Claverol Studio.
Based in local circularity, I use pulp as the main material, hand-shaped into sculptural vessels.
The resulting forms explore material transformation and perception, where soft volumes and graphic stripes create rhythm, movement, and visual impact.
Now on view at Etesian Glallery , Ciutadella.
